A few words about us
Salam/Peace, my name is Jamel.
By the grace of Allah, after finishing my contract in my previous job in Switzerland, I felt it was the right time to change direction. I no longer wanted to remain in a salaried position. I aspired to launch a project that truly excites me, aligned with my faith, values, and freedom.
I then began formal gemology training in Geneva, Switzerland. By Allah’s permission, over the past 10 years, I have invested in my own laboratory, professional tools, and gemstones, including study stones, to build a solid, practical foundation. I have examined thousands of stones, analyzed both simple and complex cases, and most importantly developed a method that works. A method that now allows me to train my students clearly and effectively.
For three years, together with my wife, we have developed this training, including the Expertise Program. This is not a “course thrown together in a few weeks.” No. It is the result of everything I have learned in the field—knowledge and investment—all the guidance I wished I had at the start, presented simply, intelligently, and step by step.

At the beginning of our marriage, it was my husband, Jamel, who introduced me to gemology. Before meeting him, I had gone through difficult times, yet as a believer, I carried a deep dream: to find a trustworthy partner with whom I could build something solid, in line with my faith, for this life and the hereafter.
By the grace of Allah, I seriously learned gemology alongside him. Also passionate about digital technology, I trained in web development in parallel, and after several years of experience, we designed this platform together.
It was created to allow you to learn from home, in a simple, clear, and intuitive environment, so you can focus on what matters most: learning, progressing, and developing your expertise.

Are there any prerequisites to take this training?
None! Everything is explained step by step. Whether you’re starting from scratch or already familiar with gemstones, the training guides you from the basics to professional mastery.
It is perfectly suitable for career changers or anyone looking to start an independent venture in a fascinating and sustainable field.
A few important notes: to take the training, you need to be able to distinguish colors and observe gemstones properly. Individuals who are colorblind, blind, or have certain significant mental health conditions will not be able to follow these modules. However, those with minor vision issues or who wear glasses can participate without any difficulty.
When will I have access to the training?
We are currently finalizing the last modules, with the program now 70% complete.

What format is the training delivered in?
We have decided that the training will be delivered exclusively on our Jamel-Gems website, to provide you with a complete and centralized learning experience.

How long does it take to complete the training?
The program is designed to adapt to your pace. Some complete it in a few weeks, others take several months.
It all depends on the time you dedicate to it and your objectives.
The key is to progress calmly, without pressure, while strengthening your knowledge with each module.
Is the training certified?
Yes. You receive a certificate of completion at the end of the program, confirming your skills in gemology.
The certificate you will receive, inshaAllah, will confirm that you have completed the training and successfully passed the gemological exam under the supervision of professional gemologist Jamel Hamdaoui, founder of Jamel-Gems.
Why a certificate rather than a school diploma?
If your goal is to work for an employer, a traditional degree can be useful. However, if you want to start your own business, our training program is much more suitable.
Our courses cover the same fundamental skills as those taught by major institutions, but without the high cost, travel, accommodation expenses, or time constraints.
Our certificate allows you to acquire practical and immediately applicable expertise, directly usable in the professional world to practice, advise, or develop your gemology-related business.
