A Few Words About Our Gemologist

Jamel Hamdaoui is an expert in the evaluation and identification of gemstones, with nearly 9 years of experience in the field. He completed specialized training in Geneva, Switzerland, at the David Craft Institute, recognized by the Swiss Federation for Continuing Education and accredited by the Gem-A School in London as an ATC (Accredited Teaching Center) and GAPP (Gem-A Approved Practical Provider), allowing him to teach courses and conduct exams at both Foundation and Diploma levels.

Before becoming a gemologist, he spent over ten years in the watchmaking industry at Rolex SA in Geneva, progressing from a “multifunction operator” to a “technical coordinator.” These experiences gave him, with great pride, an in-depth knowledge of the watchmaking sector.

Today, Jamel also teaches gemology and offers comprehensive online courses. These courses allow students to learn how to identify gemstones and evaluate their quality using professional methods similar to those taught in a gemology school.
